Eight rurals abducted in Sukma; police suspects they may be tried in by rebels

The naxals in Chhattisgarh have displayed yet again that they have capability to carry out strikes as per will. In latest episode of their daring, the red rebels have abducted at least eight of the villagers in Sukma district and amongst the abducted also include some of the family members of a surrendered rebel Podiyam Panda.  Sukma Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena expressed apprehensions that naxals might organize ‘Jan Adalat’ or their own version of court, to try these abducted individuals.

SP Abhishek Meena has urged the human rights organizations apart from elected representatives and people at large to appeal to the red rebels to free these abducted people at the earliest.
