After the furore over the Facebook data being used by the British firm Cambridge Analytica, the Elon Musk owned Tesla and SpaceX pages were deleted from the Facebook.
It need be mentioned Elon Musk had promised his Twitter followers of doing so.
The pages have been replaced by a default page noting that “content isn’t available right now.”
Musk apparently decided to take down the pages while responding to posts on Twitter, including one from Brian Acton, the co-founder of the Facebook-owned WhatsApp.
It was Acton’s tweet that included the hashtag #deletefacebook.
Thus Musk went on to delete Tesla’s Facebook page.
There seems to be an online movement growing calling for Facebook users to sever their ties to the social media giant.
The two companies would however, continue to figure on the Instagram, another of the entity owned by the Facebook.>
