The employees’ associations are reportedly planning to go o strike under the banner of National Council of Joint Action after it was made clear that the central government is not considering the any minimum pay hike.
The confirmation of the central government’s decision was conveyed by Minister of State for Finance P. Radhakrishnan in Lok Sabha.
NJAC’s Shiv Gopal Mishra, who led the negotiation over 7th Pay Commission on behalf of central government employees, expressed dissatisfaction over the government’s decision.
He said that the struggle for higher minimum pay will continue.
He also said that option of agitation is always open if negotiations fail.
Currently, the Central government employees are getting basic pay according to the fitment formula of 2.57 of the basic pay and if this big step is taken, it will come as a massive news for the Central government employees.>
