Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board has started three-month certificate courses on subjects such as ETP, STP, SETP Operation and Maintenance, in association with National Institute of Technology (NIT).
This course will be conducted under skill development programme, with financial aid from Ministry of Envrionment, Forest and Climatic Change, Government of India.
The courses were launched in NIT, Raipur today. This course is related to Polluted Water Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance. Such plants are established in industrial units, colonies, urban bodies and other related institutions for treatment of polluted water. Science graduates and engineering graduates can enroll for this course.
Member Secretary of Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board Mr. Sunil Mishra said in his address to the inaugural programme that Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board is a regulatory authority.
The main role of this board is to ensure compliance to various Acts and Rules. These new courses will help youth of Chhattisgarh in developing industry-relevant skills and will enhance thier employability. Mr. Sunil Mishra informed that the Board will continue to conduct such courses, and students should actively take benefit from the same.
Mr. Ramani also addressed the programme. On the occassion, Dr Sameer Bajpayee, Dr Manoj Pradhan, Dr Shubhrata Gupta, Senior Officer of Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board Mr. RP Tiwari, Mr. AS Rathore and Mr. John Lakra and other officials were also present.
