Faggan Singh Kulaste, MoS for Steel arrives on maiden visit

Bhilai: During his maiden visit to Bhilai Steel Plant, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State (MoS) for Steel laid emphasis on making all effort to meet its commitment to the Indian Railways’ requirement for supply of rails during the current fiscal.

He was addressing the officers during an overview presentation on Bhilai Steel Plant at Ispat Bhavan on Saturday. Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Steel, had earlier arrived in Bhilai on a one day visit, He was received at Raipur Airport by Anirban Dasgupta, Chief Steel Plant. Upon his arrival at Bhilai Niwas, the Union Minister of State for Steel was accorded a warm welcome by senior officers of Bhilai Steel Plant.

He reviewed a guard of honour presented by a contingent of the Central Industrial Security Force. Later on he planted a sapling in the Bhilai Niwas Niwas premises. Kulaste was accompanied by Member of Parliament from Durg Vijay Baghel and Mayor of Bhilai – Charoda Chandrakanta Mandle. Kulaste started his visit of Bhilai Steel Plant by first visiting the Safety Excellence Centre near the entrance of the Plant where he was briefed about the safety initiatives being undertaken by the Plant. Here he viewed a short film on Bhilai Steel Plant. Present on this occasion were Vijay Baghel, MP, Chandrakanta Mandle, Anirban Dasgupta, CEO and PK Dash, ED (W).

Thereafter he visited the MODEX units Blast Furnace-8 “Mahamaya”, Steel Melting Shop-3, Universal Rail Mill and the Rail & Structural Mill where he showed keen interest in the operation of the shops. Concluding his Plant visit, Kulaste arrived at Ispat Bhavan late in the afternoon to attend an overview presentation on Bhilai Steel Plant. PK Dash, ED (Works), BP Nayak, ED (F&A), Manas Biswas, ED (Mines- Rowghat), SK Basar, ED (MM), Dr SK Issar, Director I/c (M&HS), KK Singh, ED (P&A), AK Bhatta, GM I/c (Projects), S Mondal, ED (SRU) and other senior officers were on hand to receive the dignitaries at Ispat Bhavan and were present during the Overview presentation.
