The Article 35 (A), it need be recalled, is a constitutional provision that defines permanent residents of the state.

It need be mentioned that National Conference has already announced it will boycott the upcoming local body elections in Jammu and Kashmir over Article 35A.

The Article 35A is the provision that bars outsiders from owning property in Jammu and Kashmir.
