Ranjan Sehgal, who featured in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda’s Sarbjit, died on July 11. He was 36. As per reports, the actor breathed his last at a hospital in Chandigarh and died of multiple organ failure.
The Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) paid a tribute to the late actor on Twitter. “#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Ranjan Sehgal (Member since Nov 2010),” the tweet reads.
According to reports, the actor had been unwell for a long time due to a long-term ailment that remains unknown.
Sehgal played the role of Ravindra Pandit in Sarbjit. The film released in 2016 and was directed by Omung Kumar. Apart from Sarbjit, he had also acted in films like Force, Karma and Punjabi film Mahi NRI. He was a popular face in the Punjab film industry.
He acted in several television shows including Crime Patrol, Saavdhan India, Tum Dena Saath Mera, Bhawar, Kuldeepak and Gustakh Dil among others.
2020 has resulted in many deaths in Bollywood and has proved to be unfortunate. We lost gems like Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Saroj Khan and Jagdeep this year.
