An Iraqi girl underwent successful surgery of her rare spinal disease in Delhi.
The girl is 19-year-old and the ailment is said to have had affected blood supply in the spinal cord.
The girl is Nuha Mohanad Hani and she was suffering from spinal arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
The ailment was treated at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
The condition had also caused rupture of arteries and veins leading to bleeding in the spinal cord, called hemorrhage.
Nuha was suffering from progressive quadriplegia, paralysis caused by illness or injury resulting into partial or total loss of use of all the four limbs and torso.
After the surgery, Nuha expressed her gratitude to hospital team for new life.>
