Fresh set of allegations in Cgarh ; regarding numerous Aadhaar cards in a village
New kind of allegations are being leveled that require inquiry to be instituted.
In fresh set of allegations, it is now being alleged that the date of birth on Aadhaar cards of more than 200 residents of a gram panchayat in Chattisgarh is of January 1.
This has further raised the questions on Aadhaar scheme and how its implemented.
Ironically, the blunder evaded the attention of the authorities for six years.
As per allegations, the residents of the Maliyar and Sehrapani villages in the Chura development block of Gariyaband district came across the fault in the mandatory biometric card and informed the authorities.
The villagers were worried that the incorrect personal details might deprive them of the benefits they are entitled to and communicated the same to the district administration.
The authorities are planning a camp in the gram panchayat to fix the lapse.
As part of an explanation, it has been offered that these cards may have been prepared during the years 2011-12 and thus the error may be back from that time. >
