Gangster Abu Salem planning for marriage in May; parole comes in way

Abu Salem is currently serving a life sentence for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts

Wanting to tie the nuptial knot, gangster Abu Salem made the plea yet again within the 45 days for parole but was rejected again.

It is said that the parole to get married for a second time was rejected by authorities on Saturday morning.

Abu Salem is currently serving a life sentence for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

He had recently written to jail authorities on February 16 seeking parole to marry Mumbai-based Sayed Bahar Kausar alias Heena.

Salem had mentioned in his plea that the marriage is being planned for May 5 of this year.

Salem’s plea mentioned Mohammed Salim Abdul Razak Memon and Mohammed Rafique Sayyed, both believed to be his cousins, as guarantors.

Besides the March 1993 Mumbai blasts case, Salem has already been sentenced to life in February 2015 for the builder Pradeep Jain’s murder.
