Renowned Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is under severe criticism and this time not for any cricket related issue but for the comment that he made on Twitter.
Afridi had tweeted,”Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination and independence. Wonder where is the UN and other international bodies and why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?”
But the cricketer got slamming from India and even from many celebrities.
While the Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir had shot back that’United Nations’ in Afridi’s ‘retarded dictionary’ meant “UNDER NINETEEN.”, it was veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar who took to Twitter today and respond on the issue as well.
He tweeted that if Shahid Afridi is worried about ‘any human rights violations’ in Kashmir, he should first ensure that terrorists from Pakistan do not infiltrate into India and that the Pakistan Army stops supporting the Separatists by closing down the training camps.
It need be mentioned that Indian security forces have recently killed over a dozen of the militants and thus have struck the militant infra in the valley successfully.
Obviously, this leaves the Pakistanis fuming and frustrated.>
