Google Doodle celebrated Japanese educator and biochemist Michiyo Tsujimura’s 133rd birthday with a special graphic on September 17.

Born on September 17, 1888, in Okegawa, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, Michiyo Tsujimura spent her early career teaching science. She aspired to become a scientific researcher and that materialised in 1920 when she began analysing the nutritional properties of Japanese silkworms at Hokkaido Imperial University.
