Governor inaugurates international folk dance festival at Kullu

expressed happiness that the peace loving people of the state had kept their rich culture intact even today.

Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated the international folk dance festival Kullu Dussehra at the Lal Chand Prarthi Kala Kendra, Kullu on Friday evening.

Congratulating the people on auspicious occasion, the Governor said that the international Kullu Dussehra festival was a symbol of the cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.

He expressed happiness that the peace loving people of the state had kept their rich culture intact even today.

Acharya Devvrat said that we should always learn from the ideals of Lord Rama as particularly the new generation of the country needs good values.

He urged the youth to stay away from the drugs and work for the betterment of society.

The governor honoured the families of the martyrs of Kullu district on this occasion on behalf of the International Dussehra Festival Committee.

Earlier, the President of International Dussehra Utsav Samiti and Youth Services and Sports Minister Govind Singh Thakur welcomed the Governor and other guests and informed about the programmes being organized during the International Dussehra festival.
