Govt claims farmers enthused over loan waiver scheme

Farmers of the state are enthused after the implementation of Jai Kisan Fasal Rin Maafi Yojana in the state. Till today, about 79 percent i.e. 42 lakh 463 farmers out of the total 53 lakh 18 thousand 757 loan account holding farmers have submitted application forms for loan waiver. Out of the total loan waiver applications, loan accounts of 14 lakh 29 thousand 879 farmers have already been punched.

Under the scheme, a State Level Control Room is functioning from January 25 at the Office of Commissioner Cooperative, Bhopal. Till today, a total of 182 complaints have been received by the control room. Control rooms at district level have also been established in the entire state, where complaints of farmers are being received.

A total of 342 complaints have been received till now.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath, strict action has been taken in the state for lapses in loan cases.

During the discussions with the Principal Secretary, Cooperatives and Commissioner Cooperatives, Minister for Cooperatives, Dr. Govind Singh reviewed complaints in detail recently regarding irregularities made in loan distribution in the past.

Strict action is being taken on complaints

Strict action is being taken against the culprits in the districts, where incidents of distribution of loan in the name of farmers have come to the fore.

FIRs have been registered in Harda, Sagar and Gwalior district for irregularities in loan distribution. One person has been terminated from the service and action has been taken against 3 people in Harda. Apart from this, under the one case of Indore, one person has been terminated from the service.

Moreover, decision has been taken to conduct departmental inquiry against 3 employees in Indore district.
