In a major embarrassment for the government, four officials of the Intelligence Bureau were caught at exiled CBI chief Alok Verma’s Delhi home.
The security officers of the former CBI chief caught hold of these men this morning.
It is said that they suspected the men of snooping from parked cars.
In visuals that have since gone viral across the media channels and social media, the men are likely belonging to Intelligence Bureau.
The Verma’s security personnel dragged the men by their shirts.
In a sharp response, the Intelligence Bureau said there was no snooping and the men had stopped to check on an unusual collection of people at the house.
Officials said the bureau is responsible for collecting intelligence on situations that may affect public order and internal security.
CBI chief Alok Verma was abruptly sent on forced leave yesterday and replaced by an interim chief.>
