Day after the Rajasthan government announced strict punishment for rapists, it emerged that a 40-year-old woman got raped by six youths in state’s Baran district.
The youngsters are said to have filmed the crime and uploaded the video on social media.
This was also confirmed by the police.
It is said that the crime was committed around a month ago but the victim lodged a report in Mahila police station of Baran district.
It is being speculated that the woman had recently come to know of the video uploaded of the crime after which she registered the crime.
The woman, who works as a labourer at a roadside dhaba in Kota, lodged a complaint on March 5 against the six youngsters.
As per the report, the it was alleged that she visited her in-laws in Baran around a month ago when one of the accused who was also known to her took her on a bike to a secluded place.
The woman was taken to spot near Samaspura village.
Five others joined Meena and they took turns to rape her, the victim said, alleging that the accused also filmed the crime on mobile.
They dropped her near her in-laws’ house the next day and threatened to kill her family members if she disclosed the matter to others.>
