As per the orders of Honourable High Court Bilaspur, a campaign would be conducted for health check-up of residents of all the jaundice affected areas, wards and localities.
Pipelines for water supply in jaundice affected areas will be repaired. Cleaning and Chlorination of water tanks and other water resources would be done. Drainages of affected areas will be cleaned along with the entire area.
Loudspeakers would be used for creating public awareness in these areas.
State-level Calamity Management Authority’s meeting was organized today at Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) in Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhavan).
In the meeting, decision to organize an extensive prevention drive in jaundice-affected and jaundice-prone areas of Municipal Corporation Durg-Raipur-Bilaspur under Amrit Mission, Nation Clean India Mission and National Health Mission.
From Monday June 25th onwards, health check up camps will be held in these areas and people will be provided necessary medicines.
Combat team of Health Department will be appointed in these areas, for providing chlorine tablets, ORS distribution, and in identification of jaundice.
Drinking water of affected areas will be regularly examined. Aanganbadi workers, mitanin and others will be trained for prevention of water-borne diseases.
Besides, health check up camps will also be held in educational institutes of these areas for children and they would be education about water-borne diseases.
Other than urban bodies, water resources in rural areas will also be examined. The meeting was attended by Secretary Revenue and Calamity Management Department Mr. NK Khakha, Joint Secretary Mr. P Nihlani, Managing Director National Health Mission Mr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure.
Also present included Managing Director Cleanliness Mission (Rural) Mr. Vilash Bhaskar, OSD of PHE Department Mr. Kailash Madariya, Additional CEO of Urban Development Agency Mr. Abhinav Agrawal, Mr. GS Tamrakar, Mr. RB Verma, Mr. Rajkumar Mishra, Mr. Suresh Baura and Mr. R Ekka of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation.>
