Heres why Amitabh Bachchan recalled his special bond with ‘Bal Thackeray’; Uddhav too listened to it
Super star Amitabh Bachchan recalled the days when it was the Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray helped save his life after the accident on the sets of ‘Coolie’.
This he mentioned to reiterate his special bond with the late Shiv Sena founder.
Amitabh Bachchan was speaking at the release of teaser of ‘Thackeray’, biopic film on Bal Thackeray himself.
The incident had taken place in 1982 when the actor was flown into Mumbai from Bangalore, and had to be rushed from the airport to Breach Candy hospital.
It need be mentioned that film ‘Thackeray’ will feature Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the titular role. He also credited Thackeray with helping him through the rough patch he went through following Bofors allegations.
Sena chief and Thackeray’s son Uddhav attended the event with his family.
The film, produced and scripted by senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut, will be directed by the general secretary of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Abhijit Panse, a former Sainik. It is slated to release on January 23, 2019.
Bachchan suggested that those behind the movie should consider making a web series on Thackeray. >
