With security forces eliminating seven of the naxals in Bijapur of Chhattisgarh, the state Home Minister Ram Sevak Paikra assured that such campaigns would continue against the red rebels.
He said that security forces are carrying out sustainable campaigns against the insurgents and thus are able to make headways in many areas of the restive areas.
It need be mentioned that the Bijapur campaign comes days after another major operation carried out in Gadchiroli of Maharashtra where more than three dozen such ultras were killed.
Home Minister Paikra noted that naxals are becoming disruptive forces to the cause of development and thus need to be dealt with firmly.
It is this agenda, he said, that is being looked after by the security forces as they operated across the restive areas of Chhattisgarh.>
