DIY easy and effective masks for hydrated and glowing skin

Summer is approaching, Dry skin has become a major issue amongst everyone, good skin becomes a worrisome issue. The hot and humid climate makes our face sticky and sweating bringing in layers of tan. The harsh sunlight tends to burn our skin and the dust while travelling makes our skin look jaded. The biggest way of making your skin look fresh is to avoid as may chemical products as possible.

Go all natural, use homemade masks and remedies. However, apart from using all this, make sure you are that you are drinking a lot of water, moisturising your skin daily, eating healthy greens, applying sunscreen before you step out in the sun and washing your face at least three times a day. If you make this a habit you are sure to have great skin and if you use the homemade masks listed below regularly then you are sure to get a flawless glow and amazingly hydrated skin.

Yoghurt moisturising mask

This mask is rich with Vitamin C and will moisturise your skin bringing in great glow. Take 2 spoons of yoghurt, 2 spoons of orange juice and 1 spoon of almond oil. Mix them all together till the mixture becomes thick. Apply the mixture on a clean face and leave it on for 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. The almond oil present in the mixture will help in moisturizing your skin, yoghurt will rejuvenate your skin and orange will provide your skin with Vitamin C. Apply this mixture twice a week for best results.

Banana mask

The next mask is one that’ll give you youthful skin and will also help you get rid of wrinkles. Take half ripe banana, 1 teaspoon of honey and 3 tablespoon of yogurt. Smash the ripe banana, add yogurt and honey to it and mix it well. Wash your face and pat dry. Apply this face mask and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and pat dry. The yogurt present in the paste will leave the skin hydrated, due to the lactic acid present in it, it helps in getting rid of dullness and dryness. Banana is a great moisturiser and honey is rich in antioxidants and antibacterial properties.

Egg and honey mask

The next facemask will enrich your skin, adding glow and softness. Take 1 egg yolk, half tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix all of them well, apply it on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash the mask off after 15 minutes. It will not only nourish your skin but will also rejuvenate it. This mask is great for glowing and hydrated skin.

Chocolate moisturising mask

Yes, this chocolate-almond mixture is not another cake mixture but a legit face mask. Take 2 spoons of cocoa powder and two spoons of milk cream and mix them well together to create a thick paste, also add almond oil for a rich moisturizing effect. Cocoa powder is rich in anti-oxidant and milk cream hydrates the skin.

Oats Mask

Smash half a banana and mix it with 4 spoons of ground oats, one spoon of honey and one spoon of milk. Mix them all together and apply it on your face evenly and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and carry out this process regularly. This mask gives an all in one effect on the face and is great for hydrating and bringing glow on the skin.

A small tip from our end. Once you’ll are through with your homemade treatments, rub an ice cube all over your face. This step will help you tone your skin and tighten your pores.
