When Siddharth Anand made War, little did the filmmaker know that his action entertainer would turn out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019. After surpassing the lifetime business of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, War is now on its way to beat Kabir Singh to become the highest grossing film of this year. The film, which earned Rs 270 crore in 12 days of its release, is now eyeing the coveted Rs 300-crore club.
According to early estimates, War made Rs 7 crore (approx) on Monday, thus taking the total collection to Rs 278.65 crore (approx).
Starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, War has been setting new benchmarks with each passing day. The actioner has become YRF’s fourth highest grossing film after Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Dhoom 3. Not only this, the film has also emerged as the 11th highest grossing Hindi film.
