I Must Retire: Amitabh Bachchan

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in Manali. Now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Amitabh Bachchan has joined the duo in the hill town for a shoot. He will be playing a pivotal supporting role in the film. A source close to the development said that Amitabh will play a role in shaping the character of Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor), who can emit fire from his palms.

“Amitabh Bachchan will be shooting in Manali for the next few days before he flies to a foreign location for another shoot in early December. The film’s antagonists, Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar, will also be part of the schedule,” the source adds.

Amitabh Bachchan also took to his blog to write about the “the winter feel, the purity hopefully of the air” of Manali. Describing the destination he wrote, “there is great humility and joy of felicitations en route .. the simplicity of the smaller town reigns supreme .. as does the generous hospitality ..”

He concluded with the words, “I must retire .. the head is thinking something else and the fingers another .. its a message ..”
