IAF sources reveal that debriefing of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman is now complete

A day after it emerged in the Indian media that two Pakistan aircraft went supersonic near Line of Control in Poonch sector, the Indian Air Force sources have confirmed that the air defence is on alert.

IAF sources also added that the crucial debriefing of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has been completed for now.

It is said that debriefing of the Wing Commander was carried out by Indian Air Force and other agencies.

IAF sources said that now the officer would be going on sick leave for a few weeks on the advice of doctors of Army’s Research and Referral Hospital.

It is also learnt that a medical review board is to make assessment on the medical fitness of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

It will then be clear as to when can he resume his operations as a fighter pilot.
