Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India has become the first country in the world to start commercial production of nano urea.
Cooperative major IFFCO which introduced nano urea in the country conducted successful Field trial of drone spraying of Nano urea. The trial was conducted in Bhavnagar in the presence of Mr Mandaviya yesterday.
Mr Mandaviya said the use of liquid nano urea will result in economic savings to the farmers, increase productivity and reduce India”s dependence on urea imports.
He added that the use of nano urea is also increasing in the country and more than one lakh bottles of nano urea are being produced every day. The minister further said that Drones will be able to spray more land in less time.
This will save the time of the farmers. The cost of spraying will be less. That the trial was attended by a large number of farmers.
Chairman of National Cooperative Union of India and vice-president of IFFCO Dilip Bhai Sanghani was also present on this occasion.
