In further relief, Lalu Yadav now gets six weeks provisional bail

Ahead of elder son’s wedding the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad got yet another relief.

The former Union Minister is said to have now got provisional bail on medical grounds for six weeks from the Jharkhand High Court.

This comes after Lalu Yadav was granted a three-day parole by the Ranchi jail authorities to attend the wedding of his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav.

Prasad reached Patna late on Thursday evening.

The wedding is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 12.

It is said that advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi appeared in the Jharkhand High Court seeking his bail on health grounds.

They sought a 12-week provisional bail on health grounds but the court granted only six weeks.

Prasad has been lin the Birsa Munda Central jail in different fodder scam cases since December 23, 2017.
