In keeping of promise, Cgarh govt transfers loan amounts to farmers as part of waiver approved

Keeping his promise to the farmers, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh ensured that farming community do get benefits of loan waiver within ten days of his being sworn in as CM of the state.

Speaking on the issue, CM Baghel said that three lakh fifety seven thousand farmers belonging to 1276 cooperative societies have been provided with transfer of nearly 1258 crores in their bank account in a day alone.

The funds had been procured by the farmers by way of linking and has been returned back to them in keeping with the promise of CM Bhupesh Baghel.

It need be mentioned that CM Bhupesh Baghel was sworn in as Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on 17 th of this month itself.

On his directive soon after, the cooperatives department carried out the short terms loan waiver 2018.

In the scheme of things, farmers who had procured loans by way of linking between November 1 till December 24 of this year were given back their loans in their bank accounts.

It emerged that under the scheme, loans worth 6230 crores will be waived benefiting over 16 lakh farmers of the state.
