Truck rams into Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express, 2 coaches derail

Incident occurred at a manned crossing between Godhra and Ratlam


A truck rammed into Rajdhani Express derailing two coaches of the train. As per reports, all passengers are safe and were shifted to other coaches. The driver of the truck, who was earlier severely injured, succumbed to injuries. The train was moving from Mumbai to Delhi.

The incident occurred at a manned crossing between Godhra and Ratlam. The train was a Trivandrum Rajdhani train. The Western Railway also released the statement saying that the restoration work will start soon and all passengers are safe.

"All the passengers of affected coaches have been shifted to the other coaches and 12431 Rajdhani Express has been moved ahead from the accident site leaving the affected coaches. Restoration work is on to start the lines at the site as soon as possible," the statement said.
