Income Tax carries out raids at premises of Subhash Yadav; he is close to Lalu Yadav
Tightening noose against those around the former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, the Income Tax department on February 23 carried out massive raids and searches at several property locations of sand mining mafia Subhash Yadav.
Subhash Yadav is said to be close aide and brother-in-law of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Sources informed that the raids were conducted in connection with the illegal wealth amassed from mining of sand.
There is also the speculations that the agencies suspect that black money may have been converted into white by purchasing properties across the country and that aspect will be probed.
The raids were conducted across Delhi and Dhanbad.
According to sources, the raids began at Subhash Yadav’s house at 9 in the morning.
The Income Tax officials raided his house in Digha in Patna and three other flats owned by him in Maa Marichia Devi complex in Danapur.>
