India assured of another medal; with Sindhu against Saina in Commonwealth Games

Interestingly, both sportswomen reached the finals in rather contrasting fashions

With the medal tally looking quite impressive for India in the Commonwealth Games 2018, more is coming India’s way.

India has at least one assured gold medal in badminton with PV Sindhu facing another Indian Saina Nehwal in the finals of women’s singles.

Interestingly, both sportswomen reached the finals in rather contrasting fashions.

While Saina was pushed to the brink by Kristy Gilmour in their semi-final match, Sindhu won against CWG champion Michelle Li to bag the spot.

Their match will be followed by Kidambi Srikanth taking on Malaysian great Lee Chong Wei in the men’s singles final.

Again, Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge have pulled off a dominant 21-13, 21-16 win against the Indian pair to claim gold.
