India, Bhutan unveiled ‘special logo’ for golden jubilee celebrations; heres why
In a spirit of solidarity, the two countries on Friday jointly unveiled a ‘special logo’ for Golden Jubilee celebrations in New Delhi and Thimphu.
External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj and Bhutan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Lyonpo Damcho Dorji took part in the unveiling ceremony in New Delhi and Thimphu through video-conference.
The move was made to mark the launch of the Golden jubilee celebrations.
The Golden Jubilee of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between India and Bhutan is being celebrated in the year 2018.
In her remarks, Minister Swaraj said that exemplary ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Bhutan are built on shared values and priorities, utmost trust and understanding, mutual respect and sensitivity to each other’s interests.
The minister used the occasion to call for the renewed commitment and efforts from all stakeholders to realize the full potential of the India-Bhutan partnership for mutual benefit.
Swaraj reaffirmed India’s abiding commitment to build on the strong foundations of cooperative partnership with Bhutan. >
