India beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in the third ODI in Mount Maunganui on Monday to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
The last two wins also saw India overtake England to register the most wins in the format since the ICC World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand
India has become the most successful team since the showpiece event with 53 wins in ODIs and has the best win percentage of 67.09. England is second on the list with 51 victories (with a 66.23 win percentage) followed by South Africa (41), New Zealand (39) and Pakistan (35).
Interestingly, world champions Australia, who will be defending their World Cup title in England later this year, are placed 7th on the list with 29 wins, even behind Bangladesh and Afghanistan who have 30 managed wins each since the 2015 World Cup.
During this four-year time period, India has defeated South Africa and New Zealand 8 times, Australia and Sri Lanka 7 times, West Indies and Zimbabwe 6 times, Bangladesh 4 times, Pakistan and England 3 times and won against Hong Kong once.
