India retaliates to Pak unprovoked firing in Balakote along LoC

Yet another case of ceasefire violation as Pakistan army resorted to mortar shelling and small arms firing across LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The firing took place late last night.

It was an unprovoked shelling, confirmed Indian Army sources.

The firing essentially targeted forward posts and civilian areas along LoC.

The Indian Army thus retaliated effectively to the provocation of the Pakistan.

It need be mentioned that the Pakistani troops had targeted border villages of the district with mortar bombs on March 18, killing five members of a family including three minor brothers.
