move also comes amid both Congress and BJP trading charges on having used the services of the company

After furore in the international community over data leaks and harvesting for electoral gains, India has sent out a notice to the firm in the eye of the storm, Cambridge Analytica, to ascertain if it used any of the data from the Indians.

The firm, it need be mentioned, is alleged to have carried out breach of the data of the Facebook users.

It might be prudent to mention that the British consulting company faces accusations that it harvested data of up to 50 million Facebook users without permission.

India has sent out a questionnaire to the online data analytics company.

The move also comes amid both Congress and BJP trading charges on having used the services of the company.

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg, after the revelation, had apologized for the massive breach suspected.

The social media company has now changed its usage policy for third party apps, including login process, to ensure limited access to user information.
