India has sent out a questionnaire to the online data analytics company.
The move also comes amid both Congress and BJP trading charges on having used the services of the company.
Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg, after the revelation, had apologized for the massive breach suspected.
The social media company has now changed its usage policy for third party apps, including login process, to ensure limited access to user information.>
