India win toss for the fourth one day, Virat elects to bat

India to play with two changes, Jadhav and Jaddu

Mumbai.

Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli has won the first show of the 4th ODI against West Indies. The coin tossed up by the umpire came spiralling down to match the expectations of Virat Kohli. India won the toss.

Virat Kohli said, we are going to bat first. It looks like a nice and hard surface. There is not much of a dew in the second innings which is what we have heard. This is generally a high-scoring ground. We have got more depth in our batting today. They play fearless cricket, we are not taking anything lightly. We didn’t get the result we wanted in the last game. We are really looking forward to the game. Two changes for us. Jadhav and Jaddu are back.

After a couple of bad results in the previous two ODIs, India would feel the urge to bounce back in the 4th ODI against West Indies.

Before the start of the series, it was expected to be an easy affair. But with seamers leaving plenty of room to improve and India’s middle-order still needing fixing, the visitors have found a way back into the series after a disastrous result in the 2-match Test series.

India skipper Virat Kohli felt the need to make a few changes going into the 4th ODI with pressure mounting on team India to win the series.

Teams : India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, K Khaleel Ahmed, Jasprit Bumrah

Windies (Playing XI):Kieron Powell, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shai Hope(w), Marlon Samuels, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder(c), Fabian Allen, Ashley Nurse, Kemar Roach, Keemo Paul

the Windies captains Jason Holder said, ‘We are happy to bowl first. Credit to the boys, we are just looking forward to the game today. Series tied 1-1 and we are geared up. One change for us. Keemo Paul comes in for McCoy.’

After a span of nine years, cricket is being played at the CCI Stadium. Sunil Gavaskar said about the pitch, "Very good for batting. Ball comes on nicely. There is a little bit of grass, and hence the ball will hold grip, and will come on nicely on bat. Because of the dew factor, the team winning the toss, could choose to chase."
