After Canada episode, it seems India is likely to demand strong action against the reported growth in Sikh extremism in the United Kingdom.

This is most likely to be raised when Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets his British counterpart Theresa May in London on April 18-19.

The issue of revival of Sikh extremism will figure high on the agenda of Modi-May dialogue, sources informed.

The Indian establishment has expressed concern that rising voices of Sikh extremism in UK, Canada and Australia may be signal of revival of Sikh terrorist groups backed by Pakistan.

Meanwhile, there are reports of major protests being planned by Sikh extremists and radicals in London during Modi’s visit.
