Indian American killed, another injured in a shootout; police looking for motive
After an Indian-American was killed and another critically injured in a shootout, police is trying to ascertain the reason behind the crime.
It so happened that a man opened fire in two convenience stores in the US state of Georgia.
While one of them has been identified to be Parmjit Singh, a 44-year-old father of two high school students who was shot multiple times on Tuesday evening at the Hi Tech Quick Stop on Burnett Ferry Road, the gunman is said to have rushed to Elm Street Food and Beverage where he stole money before shooting 30-year-old clerk Parthey Patel.
Patel is said to be in serious condition now.
Police have identified the suspect to be 28 yr old Lamar Rashad Nicholson, who was arrested on multiple charges including murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm.
Police is investigating the motive behind the crime. Nicholson is no stranger to law enforcement. >
