It is alleged that Prasad shot at the police party after which they retaliated.

An Indian-American identified as 18-yr-old Nathaniel Prasad was shot dead by California police.

It is alleged that Prasad shot at the police party after which they retaliated.

The incident is said to have happened on April 5 and the Freemont Police Department said that the guy was wanted on a felony probation warrant.

There was also the case of him evading arrest warrant for fleeing from a Fremont School Resource Officer on March 22.

It was on April 5 that the Freemont Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit identified Prasad as a passenger in a vehicle.

The information was passed on the police radio about the vehicle and the active warrants and requested marked patrol units to assist with a traffic stop.

As per the investigation report, the female driver of the vehicle stopped and Prasad fled from the right passenger side of the car on foot.

But soon having not much chance to run, Prasad pulled a firearm from his waist area and it appears that he fired one to two shots in the direction of the officer who then returned fire.
