Indian Army foils infiltration bid; downs militants

In a major success, the Indian Army on Wednesday foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC).

The spot, according to Army sources, was in Macchil sector of the state.

The Army in its bid killed the three militants.

It was said that troops sniffed suspicious movement along the Line of Control in Macchil sector in Kupwara district.

They soon challenged the infiltrators, it was informed.

The ensuing gunfight led to killing of three militants.

It need be mentioned that there have earlier been many a ceasefire violations as well from the Pakistani side.

The Indian side retaliated on every occasion.
