Indian forces resort to massive retaliation; amid frequent Pak provocations
Amid repeated ceasefire violations by the Pakistani side in which many of the civilians and armed forces personnel have also lost their lives, the Indian armed forces has resorted to heavy pounding of the Pakistani posts.
It has been informed that the Border Security Force (BSF) fired over 9,000 rounds of mortar shells across the International Border (IB) in Jammu in the past four days as part of retaliatory action.
The heavy fire from Indian side resulted in destruction of firing positions and fuel dumps of the Pakistan Rangers at multiple places.
It need be mentioned that both the international border and the line of control have been tense over past many days.
The force also released two small video clips purportedly showing the destruction of fuel dumps.
So far, it was informed, a dozen people including five security personnel have been killed and over 60 others injured in Pakistani firing from across the border in Jammu. >
