Indian Premier League auction 2018 gets underway; all about bidding so far
Indian Premiere League got underway on Saturday where after an intense bidding war between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, former won the race for Wridhhiman Saha.
The Indian wicket-keeper for Test cricket — Saha — goes for a whopping amount of Rs 5 Cr. Saha’s selling price is way ahead of his base price and that shows he was in demand for this auction.
Again, when the call came for Ambati Rayudu, there were no takers for him at the early stage but then came along CSK and they bought him for Rs 2.2 crore.
Rayudu plied his trade at Mumbai Indians last time around and now he will get a chance to play under MS Dhoni this season.
In so far as Delhi Daredevils is concerned, they got their second spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal, who was the leading wicket-taker in the shortest format of the game in 2017.
But RCB chose to use the RTM card and Chahal is back with them for Rs 6 Crore. Yuzvendra Chahal is also the first legspinner to pick up a fifer as well as 6 wicket haul in a T20I and has the record for the best bowling as a legspinner in T20I history.>
