Betiya: Two people were killed and two policemen were injured in the incident of an uncontrolled truck’s entry and reversal on Friday in Gopalpur police station area of Western Champaran district. According to the police, a truck was coming to Betiya by filling sugarcane with mannaand, when the control of the driver was lifted near the Gopalpur police station and stopping a motorcycle passing through the road, the police station turned upside down and went on reversing.
Two people, who were riding on a motorcycle, died on the spot while two policemen, including Gopalpur police station in-charge Mohammad Rafiur Rahman, were injured. An official of the police told that the deceased are living in Jaemanglapur of Nepal. Police took the truck under custody and arrested driver, Shohim Mian, a resident of Mitoola in Laoria police station area. Identity of the deceased youth has been done in the form of Mukesh Giri (20) and Raushan Giri (18), resident of Jaymangalpur, a resident of Langdi Police Station area under Parsa district of Nepal. The seriously injured include Sanjay Giri, Mithun Giri and his grandmother.>
