International Connectivity Roads and Border roads to be developed

Minister referred to a figure of Rs 25,000 crore over a period of five years for these projects

Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mansukh Lal Mandaviya has revealed an information to the Lok Sabha.

He also the Minister for Shipping and Chemical & Fertilizers in the Union of India.

Minister Mandaviya said that under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, it is proposed to develop 1,911 km of International Connectivity Roads.

It was also informed that 3319 kms of Border roads will also be developed as part of this project.

The Minister referred to a figure of Rs 25,000 crore over a period of five years for these projects.

The outlay will be invested from 2017-18 to 2021-22 in phased manner.
