IPL: Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 57 runs to enter finals

Sent into bat first, Mumbai made a massive total of 200 for five in 20 overs riding on Ishan Kishan's 55 off 30, Suryakumar Yadav's 51 off 38 and Hardik Pandya's quick 37 runs in just 14 balls

In IPL cricket, defending champions Mumbai Indians reached finals after thrashing Delhi Capitals by 57 runs in the first Qualifier in Dubai last night. Sent into bat first, Mumbai made a massive total of 200 for five in 20 overs riding on Ishan Kishan’s 55 off 30, Suryakumar Yadav’s 51 off 38 and Hardik Pandya’s quick 37 runs in just 14 balls. For Delhi, Ravichandran Ashwin scalped three wickets.

In reply, Delhi finished on 143 for 8 in the alloted 20 overs with the help of Marcus Stoinis 65 off 46. For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets for 14 while Trent Boult clinched two for nine.

Delhi will however get a second shot at glory when they meet the winner of the Eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday in the second qualifier.

In the Eliminator scheduled to be played in Abu Dhabi today, Bangalore will clash with Hyderabad.
