The reciprocal visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to India is eagerly being awaited and also planned by the two sides and this has also fueled speculations that he may be Chief Guest to the Republic Day function of India.
The speculation comes shortly after Netanyahu himself announced that he would be making a visit to India in January of 2018. The announcement was made by him in the country’s Parliament, the Knesset.
How do we know? A Reuters reporter tweeted this earlier today.Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a historic three-day visit to Israel, the first ever by an Indian PM.
The trip was marked by a remarkable display of friendship between Modi and Netanyahu. The two spent most of the trip together. Netanyahu personally received Modi at the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. And the Israeli PM saw his Indian counterpart off as the Indian PM departed for Germany.
During his trip, Modi went to the Haifa World War I memorial, and made a trip to Olga beach.
