Jabalpur to be in race for development alongside Indore and Bhopal, state govt said this

Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has said that the government’s policy and intention is clear. The state government has started developing the map of development of Madhya Pradesh with a fresh perspective in every sector. Shri Nath said in Jabalpur today that no area will be neglected from development point of view.

He said that the meeting of the Cabinet in Jabalpur for the first time and the message of decisions taken during the meeting will reach the entire Mahakaushal region. CM Shri Nath was addressing a public meeting at Shivaji Maidan in Jabalpur after foundation laying and dedication of development works in Jabalpur region. He said that now Jabalpur will also be included in the race for development of metros like Indore and Bhopal.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has started to fulfill the promises made to the common people in 53 days with full conviction. The implementation of the promises made to the farmers and youth began just after oath-taking. Loans of nearly 25 lakh farmers are going to be waived in the next 16 days.

He said that Madhya Pradesh is an agriculture state, the power of industries and employment is connected to farmers only. A policy to increase purchasing power of farmers will have to be formulated for the agriculture sector.

The Chief Minister said that the government will formulate a policy for the management of the increasing crop production due to the efforts of farmers and how farmers can avail more benefits.

He said that the youth have high hopes and expectations to which they fulfil by employment. Resources of employment are created only when there is more investment in industrial areas. There has been no investment in Sihora and Mandidep industrial areas . The government will create an environment of confidence in industrial sectors and will provide employment to the youth.

Jabalpur district in charge and Energy Minister Shri Priyavrat Singh said that this is the first Cabinet meeting held in Jabalpur -the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh-after formation of the state. Foundation of development works worth several crores have been laid and dedicated today.

Minister for Social Justice Shri Lakhan Ghanghoria said that the Cabinet meeting of Madhya Pradesh government in Jabalpur, which is known as the Tapobhoomi (place where he practiced penance) of the great Jabali rishi, is a historic moment for Mahakaushal region.

Finance Minister Shri Tarun Kumar Bhanot gave information about the deveopment works allocated to Jabalpur region by Chief Minister Shri Nath. He said that a proposal for exchange between Civil and Defence of 237 acres of land in Jabalpur Cantonment area has been prepared. He demanded for necessary initiative by the Chief Minister in this connection at the union government level.

Rajya Sabha member Shri Vivek Krishna Tankha said that Jabalpur is a football hub so an internation level footbal stadium should be made here.

Assembly Speaker Shri N.P. Prajapati and State Cabinet members were present in the public meeting. At the outset Chief Minister Shri Nath and the Cabinet members along with the people observed two-minute silence to pay homage to the martyrs of Pulwama.
