With national and state election approaching, the Andhra Pradesh Special Category status issue is also gaining more and more prominence.
While the Chandrababu Naidu’s party severed its ties to the ruling BJP at the center, the YS Jaganmohan Reddy has gone on to announce an indefinite hunger strike in New Delhi.
He said that that while his party MPs would resign on the last day of the budget session, he also said that they will undertake march to Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi where they would sit on an indefinite fast.
Jagan’s party has also alleged that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) never very seriously tried to push the special category status with the central government.
Jagan Mohan also said that his MPs will keep pushing the No-Confidence Motion notice against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet in the Parliament till it gets accepted for debate.>
