JCB, machines deployed for road constt set on fire by naxals

The naxals have yet again struck development work in Chhattisgarh as they set ablaze many of the vehicles and other heavy machineries deployed for road construction work in hinterland.

The incident is of Narainpur district, considered afflicted from left wing extremism menace.

Local police sources said that so far they have come across a JCB machine and another half a dozen vehicles as set on fire by the red rebels.

The road construction work was ongoing near Rengabera of the district of Narainpur.

Sources said that leftist extremists arrived late in the evening and warned the local workmen not to engage in such road activity.

They then lighted up the vehicles and JCB machine parked nearby to be used in road construction.
