Jharkhand police launches search ops to trace three missing house guards

Sources said that during the operation itself, the police had to resort to cane-charge and use tear gas after intercepted by 'Patthalgadi' supporters

Ahead of the national election in 2019, the Jharkhand police is now busy looking out for the three house guards abducted from the residence of Member of Parliament Karia Munda.

It is said that the state police launched an intensive search operation on Wednesday involving 1000 police force at Ghaghra village of Khunti.

Sources said that during the operation itself, the police had to resort to cane-charge and use tear gas after intercepted by ‘Patthalgadi’ supporters.

The whole episode left over a dozen of them injured and had to be rushed to the nearby hospital.

Police have also taken into custody over 50 ‘Patthalgadi’ supporters after they opposed police force to enter the village.

Police, meanwhile, is seriously on the lookout for three abucted police personnel.

Senior police officials have been camping in Khunti to monitor the rescue effort.
