Known for his outspokenness, the Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani made yet another controversial statement in Chitradurga of Karnataka.
He urged youths to throw chairs at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and disrupt his programmes.
Mevani said that this disruption be carried out when PM Modi fails to answer questions on the creation of two crore jobs every year.
Speaking at a discussion on ‘Protection of the Constitution’, MLA Mevani said that youths should inculcate the habit of questioning the Prime Minister.
He also opined that Modi should be asked to go directly to Ram temple and do poojas but quit ruling the country.
He also spoke on the dilution of the SC/ST Act and added that this smacks of yet another organized effort repeal the Act in a phased manner.
But the speech has left the BJP in Karnataka fuming who have now demanded a ban on Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani’s entry into Karnataka till the assembly elections in the state are completed.
