J&K govt to open 17 new degree colleges in the state

Jammu and Kashmir government today said that the state cabinet has recently approved the opening of 17 new degree college in the state.

Replying to Mohammed Yusuf Bhat’s question in the state legislative Assembly, the State Minister for Higher Education Altaf Bhukhari informed the house that these colleges shall be established in the uncovered areas of the State adding that the locations for these colleges are being worked out by the department.

He said that the department has been endeavouring to start the academic activities in these colleges as early as possible.
